For those of you that have been prepping for a while, you've probably seen the show Doomsday Preppers.

And for those of you that have only been doing it for a short time, it was a show about 10 years ago where they bring

preppers on. And and basically it was sort of

good and bad. They made preppers look like like whack jobs and like they were crazy, but it also

brought a little bit of attention to preparedness. Us as preppers, if you've watched this, you

probably watched it the same way i did as sort of a

to watch and see the mistakes and watch and see how ridiculous some of it actually was and you know

the average the average person that had no idea what doomsday preppers or prepping was probably saw that and went holy crap these people

are nuts the reason i bring that up is because today i want to talk about some of the reasons why

people get interested in preparedness and in that show at the end of every show they or at the

beginning of every show they talked about what are you preparing for and every show and this is a Hollywood thing of every show, they, or at the beginning of every show, they talked about, what are you preparing for?

And every show, and this is a Hollywood thing, but every show had a certain theme, EMPs or

economic collapse and things like that.

So today I want to actually take a realistic approach to this and talk about why a lot

of people, some people get into preparedness.

There is, it's one reason or another why they do it. And there's one thing, usually that we

sort of put high on our threat meter as people, you know, that one thing that really concerns

us the most. So I want to talk about what some of those different situations are.

I also want to go a little bit deeper into the different types of preppers.
