As always, I'm joining my colleague and follow cursed bear's fan, Rob Zackney. Rob, I want to start with a question from

Evan in Cincinnati. Hey folks, this bear's season so far is somewhat reminiscent of the 2021-2020

Bengals season. Bengals fans merely wanted our team to win a single playoff game for the first time in

decades. Then the team accidentally made the Super Bowl. Do you think the Bears can accidentally get to the Super Bowl?

Go Bears, the Bengals are doomed, Evan from Cincinnati.

Accidentally go to the Super Bowl is the funniest possible way to describe in macro this,

in many ways this season of the Chicago Bears, Rob.

Yeah.

So I was feeling more, I felt the Bears had a better chance of accidentally, like,

backing their way into the Super Bowl a few weeks ago.

I feel less like saying I am more confident now in a first round elimination than I was a couple weeks ago

because you are seeing the combination of the running out of that bottomless supply of luck they

seem to be blessed with for good portion of the season. And then also the fact that good

teams with effective offenses and coaching are able to completely pick apart the bear's defense.

And the bear's offense showing up for half of a game, if that, is not really enough to

counteract the fact that the defense doesn't just give up yards

and points, but also doesn't get the ball back in the bear's hands for extensive passages

of a game. So I am more confident that they will not be following a Joe Burrow-like arc

of stumbling into the Super Bowl.

I think last time we talked about this before the break, I did say, like, I could see

them beating any one of the teams in the NFC and, and like, stumbling their way into that

Super Bowl.
