Summary

The NBA playoffs are fast, furious, and have absolutely ruled so far. Patrick and Rob convene the sports council to discuss the many, many ups of round one, and lament the end of the Bulls. We briefly preview the NFL draft and say goodbye to Aaron “just asking questions” Rodgers, before pouring one out for the tortured fans of the Oakland A’s, who are losing their (crappy) stadium and (crappy) team. Lastly, Patrick discovers Cincinnati Chilli.

Hey everyone, welcome back to Waypoint Sports and Sports adjacent podcast that sets out to

0:04.1

disprove the notion that people alive and dedicated to pixels jumping across the screen can't also

0:08.6

be unhealthy, interested in what nerves condescendingly refer to as sports ball. Every super bowl.

0:13.7

Rob, I started off every episode with a new question. Hey sports buddies, with the monuments done

0:17.8

for the year and the zero approaching faster, what are your thoughts and feelings on pro cycling?

0:22.0

In my humble opinion, the best sport for spending the whole day on the couch is

one of the most relaxing telecasts in sports. It's golf-ish, right? There's very rare moments of

1:41.6

loud spark. I'm sure they occur, but it is otherwise just white noise.

1:48.4

Well, not just that, but it's also a lot of these stages. They're cycling through some of

1:52.8

the most gorgeous countryside in the world. And then huge number of shots because yes, there are

1:59.2

moments where nothing is really happening. Do you like sheep? Do you like livestock,

2:04.7

classily watching the cyclist go whipping past? Because if you do, you're going to get a lot of

2:09.6

that too. I love watching the tour. I will say it doesn't take me long to start to get a little

2:16.6

bit invested in it because the tactics of cycling are really interesting. Have you watched

2:25.5

much cycling at all? No, I think I've had it on the background occasionally. I mostly just like
