0:56.5	We are returning our attention back to sports medicine this week as we consider the sports physical. And you may be asking
1:02.7	yourself, how in the world is he going to fill an entire program about sports physicals?
1:07.5	I mean, you go. They do the exam. They fill out the paperwork and you're good to go.
1:13.1	Unfortunately, that is exactly how the sports physical goes in many places. They're quick and easy.
1:19.4	You get the paper signed and that's it. However, if that has been your experience, your student athlete is getting short changed because there are many
1:30.4	important components of the sports physical, also known as the pre-participation exam.
1:37.4	And during the course of this program, we will be shortening that often to PPE.
1:42.1	You think, you know, just call to sports physical, but we're going to be
1:45.4	talking to a couple of sports medicine doctors, and they're used to calling it the pre-participation
1:49.5	exam, and then they shorten it to PPE, and it's just, that's just naturally what's going to come
