Summary

Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks to Clay Travis (founder, OutKick) about woke sports and the future of sport post-covid. Clay discusses how sports fans have grown tired of the woke sports media. Sports fans want to see great players play ball and not get lectured by ESPN, or the MLB, about Black lives Matter and social justice. With the NBA and NFL ratings down there is a massive demand for sports coverage that just focuses on sports. Clay shares why Outkick has succeeded in meeting this demand and why he is also establishing a home at Locals. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

paid the picture for the people.

1:03.8

So look, I mean, we know, you know, that much of TV is fundamentally artificial.

1:10.8

And so it's easy to say things like, hey, I'm a First Amendment absolutist, but the

1:15.8

cliche of a statement like that sort of deadens it on hearing because it's so transparently

1:23.6

clichéd and frankly because so many people who say it are the exact opposite, you know,

1:28.7

of First Amendment absolutist.

1:30.3

They don't absolutely believe in the marketplace of ideas.

1:33.5

And so when I started saying on my radio show years and years ago was the only two things
