super bowl. Rob, I now start off every episode with a new question. Do you think, as Colin

from Cambridge, in hindsight, the Cubs winning the 2016 World Series should have told us

something was deeply wrong with the world?

So I've thought about this a lot, actually. I remember that night, my friend and I was

out, I was living in LA, my buddy from high school, we watched the game together. And we're

in the middle of all that ecstasy, as the Cubs put it away on that rainy night, they

go to the post game desk and you got the whole like, Hillary for prison banner in the background.

And it was like, oh, yeah, like reality is like hovering right there at the edge. And

when like, Trump won that election and then like, just the ensuing years sort of felt like

we're sliding deeper into chaos world, I did often flash back to that night where it was

like one of like, both one of like the last normal lot nights is sort of how it felt,

but also the Cubs won a World Series. And it did sort of feel like a devil's pact had

been struck where it was like the curse would be broken and then a curse would light the

land.

A general trauma was forgiven in exchange for a new one. Yeah.
