In the 1970s, Israeli Psychic Entertainer Yuri Geller became an international sensation.

One of the things he was famous for was going on television and radio and causing spoons,

forks, and keys to bend. He'd invite people in the audience to check their own keys and

silverware and they reported them bending as well. Since Geller made the practice popular,

it's been looked at by parapsychological researchers and metallurgists. Starting in the 1980s,

the researcher began holding PK parties or spoon-bending parties, and the practice of holding them

continues today. Thousands of people have bent silverware and other objects,

sometimes in amazing ways. So what's the truth about spoon-bending?

Does it really involve mind-over-matter or is it all a hoax? Well, that's what we'll be talking

about on this episode of Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World. Jimmy, what should we say to begin?
