Hi, everyone. Welcome back to Baton Paper Podcast. I'm Becca Freeman. And I'm Olivia

0:22.2

Mentor. And today we are joined by author and friend of the pod Ashley Winstead to talk

0:27.8

all about her new book, Midnight is the darkest hour. And then we also have some of our

0:33.3

own spooky witchy book wrecks for you. And Ashley has some, too, other than her own

0:39.8

book, of course. So I think we have a nice smattering of spooky books for you. A smattering

0:45.3

of spooky. That could be your memoir. Oh, I like it. But before I get into that, let's

0:51.0

do some highs and lows. Tell me you're high. My high is that I am leaving for England

0:55.8

tomorrow. I am doing my second group trip with Trova trip. And then I'm going to visit

1:01.8

my friend who lives in England. And in there, I have a few solo days as well, which is kind

1:13.4

And one of my goals for this year was to go on a solo trip. So I've kind of provided.

1:19.4

It did. So I'm really excited. I've been making my little itinerary and my creativity

1:24.4

guide for the people going on the trip. And I'm really excited journal and to go to the

1:29.1

Cotswolds and to tour a castle. And I have a lot of outfits planned that are all just

1:35.1

like shades of brown, which sounds not exciting, but I'm very into brown right now. I'm happy

1:41.4

for you. I'm just excited. It's been a really long time since I've traveled. So substantially,

1:47.4

I should say. So yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait to live vicariously through

1:52.4

Instagram. What's your high? I have a little high. So do you remember over the summer

1:57.9

when I throw my back so badly? I do. I seem to remember a blue arch somewhere in there.

2:04.3

Yeah. Well, yeah, you have your own traumatic memories related to it. So I feel like it was

2:10.0

like a wake up call for me about my body breaking down and longevity. And so I went back to Pilates.

2:16.6

I used to be really devoted to Pilates before the pandemic. And then I moved to Brooklyn.
