And I'm Samantha Faye. And we are just so excited to have you with us as we launch with this episode

our spooky October series of shows. If you've been a long time listener to Psychic Teachers,

you know we've been doing this for a long time. We come up with scary and spooky and

octobery kinds of shows to do in October. Samantha I want to know why we don't talk about

pumpkins and nice things but no no no no no no we're gonna die. That's scary and spooky stuff.

So anyway, but I'm gonna spice and all that's nice can be dealt with on another show.

Well that'll be good because this time in this episode welcome to part one of a two part episode

on talking about exorcisms. And Samantha's gonna take the lead on this episode and then I'll take

the lead on the one that will be aired next week. So so let me turn it over to you dear.

Okay before I get into exorcisms what are they who can perform them and what are some of the

most famous ones. I just wanted to put a shout out. Instead of doing our monthly Q&A in October,

what we'd really like to do is read some of your scary ghost stories. So if you have ever seen

a ghost or encountered a ghost or have heard of a wonderful ghost story you want us to share on

Okay so an exorcism is when a person who has been possessed by a demonic force is exorcized

of that demonic force. So an exorcism exorcizes makes compels the demon to leave the person's

body. The first person we know who performed an exorcism was Jesus. We read right in the gospel

of Luke a boy's possessed by a demon. Jesus casts the demons out and promises his followers can

do the same and so our history of exorcisms begins. The second century early Christian theologian

origin says the name of Jesus Christ is used by Christians to expel evil spirits from souls
