A term that gets thrown around a lot, an NBA circles, is blowing it up. And I feel like it gets

suggested maybe a little bit more than it should actually happen. And it definitely gets suggested

more often than it does happen. So today I'm going to go through some of the teams that I've

heard rumblings about maybe them blowing it up and maybe them making

a big trade or trying to change things and tell you whether or not I think they should.

The one thing to keep in mind about blowing it up is that there's kind of levels to it.

You know, you can blow it up without actually trading every single one of your players and doing

what the Thunder did.

Like there's an in-between, right?

So for some of these teams, I'm going to say that maybe they should be leaning towards blowing it up.

But that doesn't mean that every single one of their players needs to be playing for somebody else

and that they have nothing to build off of. I'm also going to give them a score from one to five based on how much I think they should blow it up.

One being, they should not at all and they'd be dumb to consider it five being.

They absolutely should and they'd be dumb not to.

Starting off with the team that I think everybody thinks of when they think about teams that

should blow it up the Portland Trailblazers yeah they should we know they should

five out of five the whole thing the thing about it is is that I don't I don't entirely

blame them for not wanting to because the second that you trade away a player like Damien Lillard,

you're looking for another guy like Damien Lillard. And whatever you get for him is probably,

it's not going to be some slam dunk guy to go be the next superstar to build around. And you have to

also consider that Portland is not going to attract big free agents. So it's going to be really

hard to get another guy like that. But they aren't going to make it work. They've done what they can do with the team that they have now. And on top of that, dames banged up and McCollum's banged up and you're the 10 seat right now. And maybe there's a world where I've mentioned it a million times where they like go trade for Miles Turner and they get better defensively and they make a solid run.
