And therefore, welcome to a not-sam wrestling emergency podcast where I am about to spoil the main event of Smackdown on January 9th, 2026.

We have a new W-W-E champion, Drew McIntyre, the man who many said would be dead in the water if he went into another

title match and did not leave with the title.

Well, that's not going to happen.

Drew McIntyre stood in front of us and said, a lot of people wondered what would

happen if I didn't win the WWE championship. Well, I guess we'll never know.

And Drew McIntyre walked away with the WWE Championship with the help of all people,

with the help of Jacob Fatu. Now, we get this three stages of hell match in Berlin, Germany, and it was

really, really fascinating listening to the audience. And I think that the audience told the

story that sometimes WWE fans just want something they didn't see coming to hit them right between the eyes.

And this one is something that we did not see coming.

Even me, the guru, the podcast tribal chief, the OPTC, didn't see this one coming.

So we get three stages of how commercial free on Smackdown.

We have Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre first match is a regular match. And Drew is able to get

the pin over Cody after he exposes the turnbuckle. And then while the referee is attempting

to fix it, low blows Cody Rhodes, Claymore,

one, two, three, Drew McIntyre wins that first fall.

And by the way, who would have thunk it?

That exposed turnbuckle in the first fall was very significant as to where we'd be for the

third fall.

Because in the second fall, we went pinfalls count anywhere.
