I don't know what constitutes a good weekend these

days, but whatever that is, I hope you had one of those. We have a show that is going to touch,

you know, as we say in the opening, the normal, the abnormal, and the paranormal. We're going to be

talking about the normal and definitely the paranormal and probably some abnormal in there.

We've got two guests.

In the first part of our program, we've got Paul Preston joining us.

Paul is the leader of and founder of a movement to split California into two states.

This will be an interesting discussion because it's not only about California, which

specifically it is, but it has national implications

as well. And one of the reasons this particular topic has created an interest in me is that New York

state has been suffering some similar movements. And that is the dichotomy of a very urban area, as in New York City is. And then the rest of the state, which is very, very rural, like where I am in Cooperstown, New York, we have 1,000 people in this village in one stoplight. And the next closest, quote, unquote, city is 30 miles away, and that has 10,000 people. We're very

rural up here. But New York City dominates our politics. And the same situation is happening in

California. You've got a few urban areas that are dominating the politics for the other, I guess,

80% or so of the geography of California. So it'll be an interesting

conversation because not only will it affect, you know, as I said, the states that we're

going to be talking about, specifically California, and I'm going to talk about New York a little bit,
