This is Dave Van Vickle, and unfortunately, I'm not joined this week by my co-host, Michael Gormley, Gomer.

You know, I like to think of him as our fearless leader,

but this week we'll have to go without them.

Our schedules are just not aligning right now.

We're both in just the busiest of seasons,

like I think probably most of you are.

And so we had to get some episodes done.

So we're separating for today.

I think we'll be okay, though.

I hope we'll do all right without Gomer.

It's always fun to have Bonn and have his insights, but we'll venture on as best we can.

I don't know about you, but New Year's is in full swing here.

I drove by the gym this morning very early, and it absolutely packed it's amazing to see all the people there you know probably living out their news resolutions i don't know if you're

in that kid in that category or not but if you are i applaud you i was not working out at five this

morning but um i i was impressed by the people who were for sure.

My January is I always read two books.

And I know I mentioned this on the year before, but I get excited because they're like, you know,

two books that play a big role in my life.

The first is the soul of the apostolate.

And the second is called The Intellectual Life by Sertilange.
