You just got to learn how to use your attention if you learned how to act slow, steady, doing the one thing for this

bout of time that you already chose and you just do it consistently.

Anybody here listening to this if they were consistent for the next year.

The trajectory of their future for the rest of their life would fundamentally change.

One of the things I've been thinking about a lot over the last couple of weeks,

particularly after reading Passion of the Western Mind and just seeing

how thought and belief and culture has transformed over time is the the hidden subtext of how you interpret your experience.

Like right now, for instance, we are just

struggling to tread water in this technology soaked context, right? Its pull is strong, its current is constant. So much so that I really

think in a different cultural context, words like possession might be thrown around.

I mean, that's how it feels to me, when I suddenly become aware after a girthy bout of doom scrolling,

and sticking with this theme of I guess context play what

would the opposite be what would it be if you could get control over that power use

it as an enhancement of your own abilities. Then that very same thing becomes divine, ritualistic, a conduit for the muses to get even more grandiose.

Maybe it's a kind of techno-theurgy, as the Greek sages used to call it, people like iamblicus and proclis.

And yeah, part of me really just wanted to say that word because that's such an interesting

rabbit hole, something I want to explore on the show more thoroughly at some point. But technology coupled with
