My grandmother recently passed away, and amidst all thee who gets the house drama, I couldn't help but

remember the odd things that always happened to me there.

Also, hearing Brandon share his story about the three loud bangs

inspired me to share mine.

I don't think I ever had a good night sleep at my grandparents' house. To set the scene, they lived in an old duplex row home in a former logging town in Central Pennsylvania.

This was the home my dad and his siblings grew up in, so it's been in the family for a very long

time.

I spent many weekends there and always loved going there for sleepovers

except for the actual sleeping part. I'm sure some of the sounds I heard were just from the house settling, but I remember often hearing

footsteps in the attic above the bedrooms.

I always remember my dad telling me it was probably squirrels or the neighbors in the duplex next to us.

Well, the neighbors obviously didn't live above my grandparents.

And I've never heard a squirrel with the gate of a grown human.

This would happen any time I stayed there, but as I got older, the activity seemed to ramp up.

I was probably 13 or 14 when one of these incidents first occurred.

Every morning my grandma would give my grandpa a bath due to his mobility issues.

So I remember waiting in the back bedroom with the ceiling light and TV on to distract myself

from how badly I had to go to the bathroom since it was going to be occupied for a bit.
