I've been teaching on the holiness of the Lord,

and I felt that last week when Pastor Benny came through,

that, I mean, obviously, it's impossible to talk about the holiness of God and not talk about the Holy Spirit.

What I want to do today is provide some basics regarding the person of the Holy Spirit.

I'm gonna take it down to the most basic level I know to. And because there's been so much that has been made of him that is not him.

And then on the flip side of the coin, we've made so little of him.

And then there's also a way to know if he's at work or if he's not.

So what I want us to do as a church family is become much stronger in recognizing whether or not he's at work.

Recognizing if he's not, if he's not in something.

But foundationally, we have to know who he is.

And notice I said who he is, not what he is.

People ask me, by the Lord's grace all over the world, people come to this house wanting to know Jesus. For those of you who left everything to move here, which is probably a third of this building, this crowd today,

you came here because you wanted to know and walk with him every day.

Perhaps some of you were tired of a method of church that was leaving you empty and dry.

You felt like you were a product of a conveyor belt. Get you in, get you out. It's the

amazing thing about building church outside of the scriptural mandate and outside of fellowship

with the spirit is you actually start building church to please people,

not realizing that building church that is connected to the demands and wishes of people

actually doesn't satisfy those same people.
