Would you turn this morning to scripture that we looked at last week?

We actually began a new series last week, entitled The Spirit-led Life.

Go to John 14.

Actually, Romans 8 first. I was going to tell you John and Romans, but go to Romans

8, then we'll go to John 14. Romans 8 and John 14. We're glad you're with us this morning,

especially this is your first time. We do welcome you. And we don't call people

visitors. We just call them new friends. Amen. And our desire is that, and the Lord's desire is that

we grow and that we become witnesses for him and we do all that we're put on this earth to do because life is very brief.

Do you know that?

You know, I sometimes I like to take my, I got calendar on my computer and we have stuff we have to schedule and keep up with.

And I'm praying about, am I going to go here or not?

Am I going to do this or not?

And I'm looking at the calendar and thinking.

And sometimes you like to go back a ways and look at what God did with you.

And then sometimes go out several years.

And, you know, you get to look in at 2010 and 2020 and 2030 and 2040 and 2050.

After a while, you realize, I ain't going to be here then.

You get to looking far enough out.

You realize, well, the Lord, he told us we'd walk with him, we'd have long life.

He didn't say we'd live down here forever in this mortal body.

And it's brief.

It's short.
