Ancient Judaism had rules regarding communicating with spirits, and these were taken over

with modifications in Christianity. But today, many Christians have the idea that all spirit communication is forbidden.

So what is the truth of the matter?

What does the Bible say?

And what have different groups of Christians held on the subject?
