And let's hang on to that thought that the pain is never pointless.

I fell down a flight of stairs as a child. I was one years old. I had escaped the captivity of the nursery at church.

Don't worry, if you have kids checked in, I'm sure at your

church, it's much better than what was going on this day. But somehow I snuck past that lady

that was keeping me contained. I was in one of those little saucers that have wheels in the

bottom of it, you know, where you have a little plastic tray. They stick Cheerios on top of

and you can like spin around 360 degrees. and there's something shiny and spinny and clicky at every

turn. And so I just, I like to think that I was just, I had the moves. I was agile. I faked left. I pumped

I went, I went around her and I was now free in the church. And sadly, I made it,

I beeline straight towards a flight of stairs that led down to the basement where there was a

concrete landing on the bottom. Now, there is no video footage of this day. It was pre-ring camera,

pre-you know, everybody can pull up everything at any given

moment. In fact, it's a new, it's a new text message or call in church to hear at some point

a ring camera chirps. This is your, this is the Lord telling you, silence your cell phone

before your ring camera notification goes off during the message. But there was no video of it,

but I'm convinced that I was a tiny evil-con-evil, that I kind of like, I thought I was going to

stick to landing, you know, a little Tony Hawk style. But that's not what happened. I tumbled head

over heels, overhead, over heels. And then when I hit the bottom, I ejected out of this thing.

And literally, as a one-year-old baby, when they found me, I was lying on the ground screaming

my guts out. And my mom, the way she tells the story, she said, when she heard screaming,

every mother knows the sound,
