It is certain to be an interesting week as the Chiefs are in Phoenix for Super Bowl 57.

More on that and everything going on in sports in just a few minutes.

But we start today with what everybody is talking about over the weekend, and that is the

downing of the Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina. And we did this over

the weekend and talked about it, and there's no reason to rehash the feckless nature of our president and his policies

in this administration in their handling of China. It's pretty obvious that he's compromised

in some way and deals with China in a very soft manner. But the reaction from media and the

stories that have been reported since then are just astounding to me.

And for some reason, media on the left feel compelled to do story after story after story

that this is nothing new. And this is why when we see the polling that says the media

in America gets a lower grade or lower marks from the American public

than even Congress. This is why. Because every American experienced this over the past week.

They saw it in their own way or they texted friends that lived in different states.

We all consumed this information and talked about this Chinese spy balloon and we were all mortified that our

country did nothing about it. It was floating over us. We don't know what the Chinese are spying on

exactly. But we like our privacy. We like our sovereignty here as Americans. And it was violated.

And we all felt violated. Now, we didn't feel as violated as somebody breaking into our home

or anything like that. But we all in a mild manner somehow feel violated by this.

And for all of us, this was new.

This was something that's never happened in our lifetime, to our knowledge.
