I love sharing with you guys all of these crazy comic book topics over the the years what's going on now what's going on

then really uh great great times with you guys i love talking comics we're going to get right

into it we left off in our last installment uh of 1991 mutant genesis that's a mouthful. You know it. I know it. Your mom knows it.

Your dad knows it. Your dog knows it. Mutant Genesis. It was the big event. Summer of 1991.

I don't know why it wasn't Summer of X. Maybe that sounded too much like sex. I don't know.

You figured out. But mutant Genesis. I left out Excalibur.

I thought I forgot about that book being launched as well. I didn't pay as much attention to that one,

even though, you know, it doesn't have an X worked in. It was a great book. Always top notch,

launched with the beautiful Alan Davis and Chris Claremont. but it was X Factor. It was X-Men,

uncanny, X-Men, X-Force, Excalibur. It started with X-Force, number one, which blew through,

selling 5 million. Yeah, I like sharing that. Yeah, I'm amazed by it. Truth be told,

I really believe that record would fall.

It is now 30 years later. We're coming up a few months from the 30 year mark.

You know, 2021 will be 30 years, 30 year anniversary for Deadpool and for X-Force. And I literally

believed at one point that those

would fall. I thought maybe gyms would be safe because it was in the 8 million range and five

of those covers that all connected and then the one that, you know, had all of them. I mean,

really great marketing by the guys at Marvel, but 8 million with

X-Force, 5 million, no, 8 million with X-Men, 5 million with X-Force. And I just, I kind of thought,

especially with the way they started pushing aggressively, because it had gone 3 million with
