That I am purposefully recording this in the worst environment possible on purpose because I want to test out the sound enhancer that I've been using to update all of the film beef episodes. So right now typically I have like blankets up blankets. I have a blanket right here, but you never see that one. I usually have blankets up out here around me to sort of dampen the sound. As you can tell, they never really do that great of a job in my room.

Because it's so big and noisy for some reason. And I also have my bedroom door open that goes right into the hallway and that also makes a huge difference. So I'm purposefully making this podcast at least recording this podcast in the worst environment ever. I'm going to put this audio through it. Hopefully you can't tell, but we'll see. Maybe all of this is pointless to say because maybe it sounds beautiful to you. My voice itself always sounds good.

Always. It just depends on how noisy the room is. Anyway, thank you so much for joining me. All right. Little mermaid watch just an update. Haven't seen it. All right. So let's talk about that because I was on the family boat this past Monday. It was Memorial Day. And my Nana was there. My sister and her friend were there and I'd never met him before. So I was around different types of people that don't.

You know, our art used to don't listen to watch diary. Don't know what I do here. And my mom in front of everybody goes, have you seen the little mermaid yet?

And for those of you, look, I don't get embarrassed often. I have no shame. Okay. But she asked in front of everybody and everybody kind of snaker and I just said, look, I'm waiting for the Memorial Day weekend to pass.

All right. Because that's when it's going to be most crowded. I don't want to be the weirdo in the theater when there's a lot of people in there. So.

Then fast forward through the week. I had a lot going on. America's got talents back. So got to go to Nana's to watch AGT once a week. I had a really, really shitty day on Wednesday. And when I left work.

I had an opportunity to go to the theater then and I just decided I wasn't in the mood. So I didn't. And then of course on Thursday, I saw Spider-Man across the spiderverse. So I don't know what I'm doing about the little mermaid.

I kind of am disappointed in myself, but also as time has gone on and the fact that I now live in a reality where that movie exists.

For some reason, it's not bothering me that I'm not going to see it because I feel like I'm just, I feel like I know I'm going to see a movie that I don't like.

And I don't typically go to see those movies unless I feel like there's some sort of discussion around it. But I said it when I was doing my most anticipated summer movies a couple of weeks ago.

I'm literally just going to see Allie Bailey. That's it. So.

This speaks to where we are right now as a culture. Because in the weirdest way, it's like I don't feel like I'm missing out on seeing Allie Bailey because I can just watch her on its degree.

But let's think about that for a moment.

I love Allie. All right. She's my celebrity crush. My number one right now. But I always existed in a world where I could be a fan of Allie Bailey.

I mean, I listened to her music and I just, you know, follow her on social media and stuff. So for some reason, I just don't feel like I'm missing out on the Disney movie, which is kind of crazy.

Maybe that's not the angle I should take. Maybe the angle should be maybe it's just time that I, I said this earlier in the year, I think maybe it's just time that I'm getting pickier and pickier when it comes to what I watch and a Disney remake.

They're just not for me. It's, it's an exercise in recycling and appealing to a new generation and that's not where I'm at. And it's fine. That's not where most of you probably are. But that doesn't mean that there aren't Disney adults.

That doesn't mean that there aren't people that look forward to these live action remakes and want to see these movies fully realized like, look, if we were talking spiderbursts, do I want to see like a live action miles Morales and what would I accept a live action miles Morales that explored this.

No, I wouldn't want to like straight remake. But would I watch a live action miles Morales that utilize the spiderbursts? Of course. Absolutely. I would.

So I understand the people that want to see those movies for sure. It's just not for me necessarily. So I don't know if I'm going to make it to the theater to see the little mermaid who knows my mom might text me and say that my niece wants to go and then I'll decide then. But as of right now, I'm not headed out.
