Proverbs 144 says, where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the

strength of the ox. Messes come with progress and fruitfulness through the messiness of work.

Today I'm going to share about the glory of the mess, as well as a bit of cleaning in sight

to help you with your role as keeper of the home.

Hello, welcome to the show. I am Lauren. If this is your first time listening, I am very glad you are here today. If you're a long time listener, welcome back. I'm so glad that you're here. I'm excited to talk about messes today in our homes. And with it, I'm hoping that there will be a perspective shift. I remember hearing this proverb a few years ago

and thought, yes, this is where my mind needs to go when I feel overwhelmed or the temptation

to constantly say no to things that might be messy. Speaking of messes, we recently adopted

two little kittens from our new friends in Georgia, and their

kitty was named Martin, and it turned out to be a Martha who had kittens, and now we have two of

them. And they're so fun to have around. And we currently have this little setup where their litter box

and their bed and food and water are in this kind of big kennel to give them a bit of space away

from some of our handsier little

people in the house, namely the younger two. Well, our littlest son, who was just over a year

and a half, I think, decided the other day that it was time for him to contribute to the family.
