I'm on the road today, not really, but I'm recording this on my phone.

So hopefully the audio is just wonderful and you don't even notice and I shouldn't have even said anything.

But it's, you know, touch and go with bedtime, and we are here. I am here, and my husband

is so kind to put the kids to bed. So here we are. I'm happy to have you. And every year,

about this time of year, around October 31st, I typically have a Reformation podcast. I love history. I love the

history of the church. And as I learn about it, I love to share. However, this year is a little

different. I thought instead of a Reformation podcast, I wanted to talk about an age old saying

called Memento Mori. This is actually a Latin phrase that literally was said so that the hearer would

reflect on their own mortality. Last week, I talked about glorification, and I didn't really

intentionally mean to follow up with another podcast about death, but here we are. Last week was

more about heaven and being done away

with sin and how glorious that will be all about glorification. But this week is about Memento

Mori, which is remembering that we will die. And it might sound morbid and a topic Christian

should steer away from, especially as we approach Halloween and there's, you know, gratuitous Halloween decorations on almost every corner. And, you know, people put out scary
