I don't know why. No, we're going to talk about why. But it is so good to be thankful and to pour out our

praises to the Lord. And it truly can cheer a heart up. Last week at church, one of the elders read from

the Valley of Vision, which is like a Puritan prayer book,

and I was just impressed with the great mercies and benefits our God lavishes on us, so much so

that the overflow from our own hearts should be thankfulness. And this is one of the reasons we can

give thanks in all circumstances like we're called to do in first Thessalonians. But before we talk

about giving thanks and cheering up the old heart, I want to give a huge thank you to all my
