record myself so many times saying that. It's like a tongue

twister, but I chose that name, what, like five years ago? So there's no turning back. And I had a

listener who sent me a card and said she found my podcast and didn't see the title was just playing

the episode. And she thought I said, sheepep Who's Faithful. I think I've

mentioned that before, but Sheep Who's Faithful. And that's how it rolls off the tongue sometimes.

It is tricky. Anyway, welcome to She Proves Faithful podcast. I'm Lauren and I am so glad you're here.

Today we're going to talk about self-righteousness because last week

I talked about worldly versus godly virtue, but then the question can arise is if we're adding to

our faithless virtue, does it turn into self-righteousness ever? And so I wanted to look at that.

My pastor preached a sermon on Matthew chapter 6. That was really good and applicable to this. And then also

just the entire book of Galatians. I mean, really, you could just read that and be so encouraged

about this topic of self-righteousness versus resting in the work of Christ. So we're going to get to

that. But first, I will have you know that I'm a little bit on edge because my back, I'm in the closet today.

The desk made it into the closet, but that means my back is towards the opening. And let me just tell you, our old house was just, I mean, we were all together. You could just hear the whisper. You could

hear anything. And now I'm in a basement. And at any moment, I'm thinking somebody's just going to

show up behind me. Or if I scream all of a sudden, it's because my child or a child has come

down and is looking for milk or something.
