people are now arguing that the scriptures are authoritative but cannot be accurately interpreted.

Is this true? Plus, I review two popular scriptures that often get twisted by two different

Christian camps. They have to do with judging and gathering. Today, we will look at the context of Scripture and how we can prove faithful in interpreting

what God says in His good and holy word.

support. So thank you very much. Today, we're actually going to look at two popular scriptures

that often get used to defend decisions that are actually not biblical at all. And we can all fall into

the trap of twisting scripture to fit our lifestyle or desires. And I know that I've done it many times,

especially in college and in my early 20s when all I wanted to do was get married or find excuses

to understand dating better or marriage better. Basically, we can twist scriptures

to want to give permission to our lifestyles or our desires or to try to figure out what God wants

us to do. And again, we want answers from God. We can be very good at twisting scriptures.

Or ignoring God. Anyway, the point good at twisting scriptures or ignoring God.

Anyway, the point is we can all fall into that trap. And even during the Reformation, when Bibles were being printed in people's own language, there was this big wave of people who were

misinterpreting scripture. They were reading it and didn't have good Bible study skills,

good Bible reading. They weren't in churches yet,

or churches were starting to pop up to give better interpretation, but kind of was like this wave
