When we are Christians, we are saved from our sin and the death we deserve.

Our salvation is a true and blessed gift from God, and we are so thankful.

But why do we keep on sinning?

And what about that one sin that I seem to keep falling into?

Today, I'm going to talk about besetting sins and some practical and encouraging truths

to help us throw off the sin that so easily

entangles.

Hi, everyone. Thank you so much for joining me on today's episode of the Sheeproos Faithful

Podcast. My name is Lauren, and if this is your first time, welcome. We're going to talk about

one of my favorite topics, sin. Everybody out there who

has been listening for a while is like, yep, she does it frequently. It's true. And I do it because

sin, there's nothing that we should love about darkness. And sin is darkness. And there's everything

that we should love about light and life in the gospel. And we have been given

freedom in Christ. There's joy and peace for us now. And sin does not include that. And if you're

like me, I struggle with sin a lot. There's a lot of sin in my life that I want less of or none of,

really. I mean, that's the ultimate goal, right? That's sanctification. We won't see zero sin while

we're still on earth, but the Lord is growing us and maturing us in our freedoms and graces in him.

And so that's why I talk about it a lot. And today's topic is particularly interesting to me,

because there's this thing called besetting sins, kind of sins that we tend to fall into
