Welcome, everyone. My name is Lauren, and I'm so grateful that you're listening to the Sheepers Faithful

podcast today. We are actually in the midst of a series. This is part three of a three-part series on

women and work or work in women. What is our role? What is our job? What is our work as Christian women? So part one was

four truths about work. The last part, part two, was women being keepers of the home like

Titus talks about. And then today we're going to talk about the table and Sabbath feasting.

I'm pretty jazzed about it. We are in the midst of holidays, or as my

husband calls them holy days, as we celebrate the Lord and His graces and mercies. So I just thought

talking about hospitality and talking about the table and feasting, this is the perfect season.

And I wanted to end this three-part series specifically

talking about the work women do of having people in their homes and feeding them. And

hospitality is just so you know. Like if this is your first time listening or you haven't listened

to all 136 episodes, hospitality is something I've talked about frequently, and it's not something that I feel

especially gifted in. So know that from the starting point that I'm not, like, this isn't my

area of specialty. This isn't Lauren talking about how amazing and how easy hospitality is.

No, this is me after years

of practicing hospitality and kind of aching and growing in it, sharing from those experiences

and learning what scripture has to say and practicing it because it is part of our work
