Hello, friends, and happy 2018.

This is my first time on the mic since last year, so I'm very excited to be back. If you've made listening to more podcasts part of your 2018 resolutions, singles, welcome. And if you're checking out SPF podcast or you're a longtime listener, I'm so glad you're here today. This podcast is all about gospel-centered living,

which means reading the word of God and living through the truth of God's word and the goodness

of God's word and the beauty of God's word. That's what gospel-centered living is. So today we're

actually going to talk about change because, well, it's New Year, New You, right?

I love January because it's my birthday month. And I feel like after you come off the high of Christmas and stuff and the glory of the gifts, which, I mean, if you want to know more about Christmas, you can rewind a couple episodes.

But it's just like this cleansing,

almost. I mean, people are eating salad again. People are throwing away trash. Like our little

Christmas tree. Actually, our Christmas tree is on our porch right now. It didn't get dumped because

it's alive and it's still living. And so it looks

like we have the Colorado nature in our backyard. We live in Colorado anyway, so it is Colorado

nature, but we don't have very many mountainy things in our yard. It's a chicken coop and a dying peach tree, which has flowered three

years in a row now, yet has given us zero peaches. Peach tree, it's your year, new year, new you,

peach tree. So I love, I love the new year. It's so fun to see your goals and all the things that

you guys are doing. We get jazzed up about it. We make those plans. But honestly, I don't do it very much during the year. It's kind of a

January thing, don't you think? I don't know. Maybe August when school starts for most people,
