But I was really encouraged by what I read in Second Samuel about David being promised to have

an heir on the throne that would reign forever, basically, that his kingdom would be established.

And I cross-referenced it with Jeremiah 33 and was so encouraged and amazed. And then I

got to the next day and on my reading plan was Jeremiah 33. I don't know. I didn't make that

connection. I made this reading plan a while ago. And so I was like, well, there you go. Cross-reference

very next day. So I read that and was really encouraged by the book of Jeremiah in general and how, I mean,

thousands of years ago this was written and how it's so amazing to look back and see the hope

that they had in the midst of consequences of their sin and God giving mercy, and then us being able to see

full circle how God fulfilled his promise and how we are declared righteous through Christ alone.
