In a quiet mountain town near Park City, Utah, the death of 39-year-old Eric Richens has become one of the most closely watched criminal cases in the state.

Prosecutors alleged that his wife, 35-year-old Corey Richens, fatally poisoned him in March of 2022 by slipping a lethal dose of fentanyl into his drink at their home, then publicly presenting
