Thanks for joining me in today's episode. We're going to do a quick speed straighten of your entire house.

Obviously, deep cleaning's important, but I think more important than the deep cleaning sessions are those daily maintenance routines.

And so in this episode, I'm going to kind of walk you through a daily routine

on a day that I'm basically what I do on a day that I'm not cleaning the house per se. So the first

thing that I like to do is take out the trash and light a candle or turn on a wax warmer, just get my

house smelling fresh, and then straighten up the front entrance area, whether you have a large

foyer area, an entry hall or entryway, or just a living room that's on the front of your

house, it's time to get your house smelling good and then straighten up that immediate front

entrance. That kind of helps me feel relaxed to where my house is under control because my front

entrance kind of includes my living room and if the living room is in disarray I feel kind of

stressed and I feel like it's going to be a bad impression for whoever walks in,

whether it's my husband, my kids, whatever, you know, especially when I'm home alone,

I feel like I need to get the house under control right away.

And that's the way I do it is by doing a quick pickup in that front room.

In one house that I lived in, there was a large foyer area with a formal dining room off to the side.

And I just kept that area perpetually clean because there was a family room on the back of the house where people hung out, and fortunately,

it was not visible from the front door. So, you know, if my neighbor stopped by and we had a

cup of coffee in the dining room, she would never even see the mess. But not all of us have such a

convenient floor plan.

So here, you know, we live in the same room that's the front room of our house because we don't have two living areas.

We have just that one living room.

Our living room is our family room, so to speak.
