Summary

We dive into the fast-changing world of direct-to-consumer digital health, with perhaps the best person in the world: Levels founder Josh Clemente. (Shoutout to Ben Grynol and Michael Mizrahi from our LP community for introducing us!) Levels is on a mission to make consumers everywhere aware of their metabolic health by enabling anyone to track blood glucose levels with a continuous glucose monitor. Josh has had an incredible career, working as an early engineer at SpaceX and later at Hyperloop One before founding Levels out of a very real personal need. Join our conversation as we cover everything from Josh's time at SpaceX to why the market has changed for consumer digital health, and what the future holds for Levels.

This is a great time to tell you about one of our very favorite companies Crusoe.

2:18.5

So Crusoe as listeners know by now is a clean compute cloud provider specifically built for AI workloads in video is one of their major partners and literally Crusoe's data centers are nothing but racks and racks of a 100s and each 100s.

2:33.5

And because Crusoe's cloud is purpose built for AI and run on wasted stranded or clean energy.

2:38.5

They can provide significantly better performance per dollar than traditional cloud providers.

2:43.5

Yes, we talked about that on our ACQ to episode with Crusoe CEO chase lock Miller the other element that makes Crusoe special is the environmental angle.

2:52.5

Crusoe of course locates their data centers at stranded energy sites so think oil flares wind farms that can't use all the energy they generate et cetera.

3:02.5

And uses that power that would otherwise be wasted to run your AI workloads instead.

3:07.5

Yep, obviously it's a huge benefit for the environment and for customers on costs since Crusoe doesn't rely on the energy grid.

Energy is the second largest cost of running AI after of course the price you pay Nvidia for the chips and these lower energy costs get passed on to customers.
