All week. We've been asking ourselves and we've been asking you

listeners what historical moment are you thinking about in this moment in history

as the election count continues to determine who won the 2020 presidency

You kind of have to say that as you're recording these days.

You kind of have to time stamp when you're recording this.

So we are recording this actually on Friday morning, November 6th.

A winner has not really been declared but just before we started taping

the vote count showed that Joe Biden is ahead in Pennsylvania and that is

very likely going to mean that he is going to take the presidency, take Pennsylvania,

and take the presidency. You know, something we can absolutely say is that more people

voted in this election than any election in history. So, yeah, we're recording this at an interesting moment. I'm sort of hearkening back to my live news days here, but this is not a breaking news podcast. It is a history podcast. Nevertheless, that is the moment in which we are recording at a very interesting moment.

And this episode is a little different for lots of reasons, but we're not going to just focus

on one historical moment, but riff through a bunch of them and I will just say that

it's been really great to read your emails and thoughts and your tweets and
