There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man.

It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity.

It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition,

and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge.

This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

I'm going to try something a little different with this episode of the Twilight Zone podcast, a little experiment, if you will.

Not something I've done before, but when I was starting my research to put together the episode discussing the Twilight Zone episode time enough at last obviously I discovered that it was based on a short story a short story written by

lynne venable that had been published in the january 1953 edition of the science fiction magazine worlds of science fiction so I read the story you know obviously go back to the

beginning see how maybe the story evolved from the short story and so on and i was going to put that

all in the podcast but then i realized that a story of this age would undoubtedly be out of copyright

I'd try something different. I thought I would just basically put the story in the podcast. So here
