That said, our passage for this morning's teaching will be coming from the book of John

chapter 6 in verses 57 through 66. And I would ask that all who are here please stand for

the reading of the scriptures this morning. Again, the book of John chapter 6 verses 57 through 66. Quite a read, but Lord willing,

we will get through it. And the Word of God reads, As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father,

so He who feeds on me will live because of me.

This is the bread which came down from heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna and are dead.

He who eats this bread will live forever.

Verse 59.

These things he said, speaking of Jesus, in the synagogue as he taught in Copernum.

Therefore, many of his disciples, when they heard this, said,

this is a hard saying. Who can understand it? Verse 61. When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples

complained about this, he said to them, does this offend you? What then if you should see the son of man ascend

where he was before? Verse 63. It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words

that I speak to you are spirit and they are life. But there are some

of you who do not believe, for Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not

believe and who would betray him." Verse 65. And he said, therefore, I have said to you that no one can come to me unless it has been granted to him by my father.

And verse 66, from that time many of his disciples went back and walked with him no more.

Why don't we pray for the Lord to bless this teaching this morning.

Father in heaven, we come to you as a needy people in a time of great distress and need. And we ask that

you would bless this teaching to our hearts, knowing that you're still on the throne.

We ask that you would just give us a deeper desire to know you and follow you. Would

you just give us hearts to receive your word because we need your word and the actions inside
