Okay. So for tonight, our topic is going to be on sin. And this to me is a topic that is too often skirted over and not dealt with head-on, which, in my opinion, I believe that it would bring

more people to Christ if an effort was made to explain sin in a detailed degree according to the

Bible. Now, I also believe that this could be done in about five minutes for the most part,

but it would lead to a lot of questions. And I also believe that it could be done over a series of

sermons Sunday after Sunday, Thursday after Thursday, which would lead to a lot of questions.

So no matter which way you want to craft this, when we're dealing with this topic, such as sin,

it always generates a lot of questions and for a good reason.

But before we begin, I want to answer the biggest question of them all

up front when it comes to sin, and that is Jesus Christ is the only cure for the disease known as

sin, period. Every one of us is born into sin. Even though people may think they have not

been diagnosed with sin, sin is there. So with that said, and with the Lord's permission, we're going to briefly look at

the first human sin and then define sin by its root definition, then by the scriptures

expound on a few verses regarding sin and how it is presented according to the

Bible, then we will discuss the problem with sin for Christians and listen and also for

non-repenting profess professing Christians while examining the churches of Thiatira and Sardis briefly.

And then we'll discuss what sin means to the non-believer.

I'd like to add that this is not a list,

a legalistic list of do's and don'ts

that many people look to for instead,

this is we should be looking towards Christ

and not worrying about a list of sins.

Then we wouldn't have this problem.
