| 0:00.0 | Okay. So tonight, our Bible study will be on Proverbs 12. Today being the 12th of October, |
| 0:14.1 | we'll go through this chapter and the month of October is the month of wisdom. I just made that up. Everybody else makes it up. |
| 0:23.8 | A month of this, month of that, well, it's going to be the month of wisdom for us. And we're going to |
| 0:27.8 | go through and examine Proverbs chapter 12. And this section of Proverbs is considered book two |
| 0:34.4 | of the Proverbs themselves, chapter 10 through 24 that is. And it ultimately |
| 0:40.4 | contrasts between wise and fools, the righteous and the wicked, the steady hand and the lazy |
| 0:49.6 | and the rich and the poor. So in chapter 12, we're going to see a majority of these contrasts discussed |
| 0:57.1 | within the 28 verses of the chapter, and we'll look at each one of them in some degree in |
| 1:03.0 | hopes that the Lord will give and or add to the wisdom that has been bestowed on us this far in our |
| 1:09.2 | lives. And so many of these verses are straightforward. |
| 1:13.3 | Straightforward. |
| 1:14.2 | But when we look at them, just a little bit deeper, we always find more inside these verses. |
| 1:22.3 | I know for me, every time that I read the Proverbs, how many times I read the either book, the chapter, or a verse, |
| 1:32.4 | there's always something more every time you go back over it. |
| 1:37.1 | And it's amazing. |
| 1:38.0 | That's because God's word is alive and active, quick and powerful. |
| 2:07.8 | It is amazing. And I pray that that alive and active word will demonstrate how powerful it is tonight. You know, I was joking about October being the month of wisdom, but we truly should be in the book of Proverbs every single day. Every day. Our pastor was talking about how he matches the day of the week with the proverb, which we're doing now, and every |
| 2:14.3 | morning, whatever day it is, he'll read that proverb. And if the month does not have 31 days, then he'll just double up at the end of the month of some sorts. |
| 2:23.3 | But the point being is he starts off with the Proverbs, the book of wisdom. |
| 2:29.3 | And I would say that as Christians, that should be our minimum requirement if there was to be one. |
| 2:37.6 | And so I encourage everyone to try to get a practice like that going. |
| 2:43.3 | I myself try to pick out one verse of that chapter for the day and meditate on it and write something to it. And it's amazing |
