Let's open our Bibles to the Book of Philemon.

And again, Pastor Dedy and Pastor Mac are unavailable tonight, and so I am coming off the bench.

Pastor, I'm sorry, the Book of Philemon is in a New Testament, and it's between the books of Titus and Hebrews. It's only 25 verses long so

it might be difficult to find. But again we're in the book of Philemon. And I've

entitled this message, chain seen and unseen. Before I start, let's pray. Father in heaven, we just come before your throne to lift up this teaching to you tonight, Lord.

Lord, we love your Word, we love your scriptures. It encourages us, it teaches us, shows us how much you love us,

tells us that you sent your son Jesus to dine a cross for our salvation.

And so Lord, we ask Lord tonight that your Holy Spirit, we just lead us into a place of just

opening our ears and learning that which you desire to teach us tonight.

We pray these things in Jesus' name.

The Book of Ileiman is an actual letter.

It's a letter written by Paul the Apostle and it's probably written in the year AD 62.

In this letter, you will see God working his perfect plan.

Even in seemingly impossible and difficult

circumstances, Philema is one of the shortest books in the Bible. It contains only one

chapter, 25 verses, but it's filled with spiritual treasures. This letter was meant as a

private letter. I don't think Paul ever

thought that this letter would be read publicly, let alone be added to the canon of scripture

to be added to our Bible. But God's plans to encourage the saints then, and that's also

his heart for us tonight. Paul wrote this letter from a prison

cell. He wrote this letter while in jail in Rome. He was eventually released, but then he was arrested
