Matt Shirley. Today I'm joined by historian and biographer Sir Anthony

Selden, author of works on Churchill, Major, Blair and Cameron,

and more unusually, biographies of key political buildings, including number 10, the

foreign office and the British Ambassador's residence in Washington.

More recently, he's published a history of the Cabinet office examining the relationship

between officials and their elected masters over the past century.

So here we are then six months after Theresa May entered number 10 we're learning more

about her style of leadership and the factuous relationship with officials like

Sir Ivan Rogers the EU diplomat who dramatically resigned over Christmas and Simon

Stevens the NHS chief embroiled in a public row over funding for the
