Whenever I have interviewed someone on the Twilight Zone podcast, I've usually asked them a certain question or a variation on that question and the question is can the

Twilight Zone exist without Rod Sailing? We are at a time now whether the Twilight Zone

movie that has been in development hell for so long is sort of creeping closer to

actually becoming a reality.

And it kind of got me to thinking in Rod Serling's lifetime was this ever a possibility and what would he have done?

I mean I've mentioned Planet of the Apes many, many times as being what I consider to be the first Twilight Zone movie, but what if he'd made an actual Twilight Zone movie?

Just by chance, I was flicking through some old Twilight Zone magazines.

Now, these things are a treasure trove of facts and stories and interviews with, you know, the likes of Richard Matheson and so on.

A lot of stuff in there and I just happened to come across an article called Notes for a Twilight Zone movie.

He had a four word by Carol Sailing and she had this to say she said for years Rod planned to make a theatrical

twilight zone he never had the time to put her all together but at one point he submitted the

following proposal to some higher Hollywood power and Rod Sailing's words were this movie

will be a trilogy shot in black and white,

for a budget of under a million dollars.

The stories are separate and distinct,

but have a background thread

that moves one into the other.
