Here is an interview with Ted Ramey, one of my favorite character actors, one of my

fellow Detroiters, and I hope you enjoy this interview with Ted.

Everybody says, you know, hey, I'm from Detroit.

It's just the easiest shorthand, but where did you grow up at?

I grew up in two places.

I grew up actually on the west side of Detroit when I was a

kid at six in Livanoi and like two blocks from U and D. And then, which is weird. And then my family

moved out to the burbs later on. Later, after I went through a bunch of different schools,

including Oakland and MSU and NYU, I went back to the University of Detroit.

So it was weird.

I went to school just a couple blocks from where I initially grew up.

You were born in, what, 65?

Yeah, that's right.

So you were just, you were a little pipsqueak for the riots, but it was still probably

not too good of a scene in Detroit when you were growing up.

I suppose, yeah, you know, I don't really remember them.

I was too young.

I was too young.

But it's great.
