I am talking with producer Frank Marshall, who was involved with all of the Indiana Jones films,

all the way from Raiders up to Dial of Destiny.

When did you first encounter Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Lucas?

I first met George on What's Up Doc. As you know, What's Up Doc was shot in San Francisco,

and George was obviously a young filmmaker there, and he came by the set to meet Peter, and I have to be there as well, and of course, wanted to meet George.

And so our very first meeting was on the set of What's Up Doc.

And I met Stephen, also on a Bogdanovitch movie, Daisy Miller, in Rome,

about a year later, Stephen was doing a publicity tour for Duel, which was being released as a

feature in Europe, and he came by to visit the set, and that's where I first met

Stephen. And the way I remember it, I came and they were all at lunch, and I came to lunch,

and I always had a bowl of pasta at the end of the table. And Stephen was sitting there with a publicity

guy and Sybil Shepard and Peter and a wonderful woman named Werner Fields, who was our editor.

And eventually it edited Jaws later.
