I'm your host, Mike White.

On this series, we are reading of the Lost Ark. We are talking about the original story sessions. Actually, probably not that

original, because I think there were some before these were transcribed. Anyway, there was a series of

recordings that were made with the likes of

George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Larry Kasden, Lawrence Kasden, all back way before the making of

Raiders of the Lost Ark, back when they were still debating about the name of the character,

even.

This is a fascinating thing to me. To hear these three very creative gentlemen talking about story ideas, putting together for me one of my most favorite films ever.

To hear the ideas, to hear the creative process, to hear how they get close to what

we know and love today. It's really neat. And so I looked around for a while, and I'm sure that

after I post this, there will be people coming out of the woodwork to tell me, oh, this has already

been done before. That's fine.

That's really okay.

I would have rather have not done this because it took a lot to take out a few hours every

Sunday with two of my buddies reading this and inevitably screwing up quite a bit.
