Welcome. Good to have you with us on this Tuesday night. New coronavirus cases spiking in a number of states this

evening, but perhaps most notably in Texas, where the seven-day rolling average of new cases is now at a new high. The city of

Houston is in Harris County, which has more coronavirus cases than any other county in that state.

Dr. Umer Shah is the executive director of Harris County's public health department. He's with us

live this evening. Dr. Shaw, welcome. It's good to talk to you tonight. Thanks for having me.

I really appreciate it. Yeah. How concerned are you? Well, we are concerned, as you can imagine,

I mean, we've done a fantastic job as a community, uh, in our, our community, uh, fighting this virus

for months, and we certainly don't want to go backward. Obviously, the concern is what you've talked about at the top of the hour with increased cases in Texas.
