Julia, where do I even start?

You've been working insistently for so many years here.

Can you tell me how you got into the business and how you decided to become a cinematographer?

I never really pursued anything else.

I only have the cliche story of my dad shot family events and birthdays and things, and I was fascinated by being able to capture time and moments throughout our childhood.

And so I quickly stole that camera and started making short films and anything I could.

And I was definitely like a very enthusiastic audience member.

My parents showed me some of the favorite films and shared their love of cinema with me.
