got into writing. I went to school for writing. I went to Emerson College in Boston. I grew up on

the East Coast. And I went to school for print journalism in the early 2000s, right when print was

completely dying. So I thought, hey, let's get into print. And so I was a reporter for the Boston Globe.

And I was on the night cop's beat, which means I was a crime reporter. It's a very cub reporter position. So I had the 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. shifts. So went to many murder scenes. That was a lot of fun. And then I moved to San Francisco in 2004. So this is my 20th year in San Francisco.

I didn't do much writing when I first moved here.

I fell into marketing.

So that's what I've primarily been doing for the last years.
