If you're a longtime listener of the projection booth, you know that I have been to quite a few film festivals over the years.

I absolutely love going to festivals.

There's just something so nice about going to another place,

churning off the phone, putting away the computer, 100% being dedicated to watching movies,

to enjoying another city, hopefully, to meet with new people, see old friends.

There's just a real communal feeling around so many film festivals, and I've enjoyed

pretty much every festival I've ever been to.

I used to love going to Toronto, down to Kansas City, of course, Microsinefest.

I've made some great friends down in Baltimore

through Microsinefest and through the Maryland Film Festival, New York Underground Festival,

Chicago Underground Festival, the list goes on and on. And then we've got a few fest around

here in Detroit. We've got Cinnatopia. We've got the Freep Film Festival, the Ann Arbor Film Festival,

which is one of the longest-running film festivals in the Midwest. I think it might be one of the
