Coming into this, I really had just a very surfacing knowledge of film collecting, and

Bartok and Joseph go into some great detail, great depth, talking to some of the

collectors who have been around for years doing this stuff and talking about the kind of the

dying art of film and film collecting.

I highly recommend this.

Well, I am very excited to talk to you about a thousand cuts.

I found it to be an absolutely fascinating book, and something that I desperately didn't know was missing from my library,

but as I'm reading it, I'm just like, wow, this is teaching me a whole lot of stuff

that I never knew that I needed to know before.

We're really glad to hear that.

Certainly over the past 10 years, we've seen the film collector subculture in rapid decline?

It pretty much is at this point.

Mostly, I think, because older collectors get too old to lift 35 millimeter film,

but alone 70, and the other collectors, the few that are left,
